Before we talk about plans, it should be clear whether private health insurance fits your situation. Use our Decision Check as a starting point for the conversation.
We also advise against it if private health insurance does not suit your situation.

Our advice is divided into eight steps, from the first contact to ongoing aftercare.
Every plan comparison starts with an anonymous risk enquiry. We ask several insurers anonymously which health situation they can insure and on what terms. This keeps entries out of insurer records and gives you a realistic view of the market before you commit.
Together we clarify which goals you have for private health insurance, for example premium stability, certain benefit modules or secure care in old age. The search for a plan only starts once the goals are clear.
Based on the risk enquiries and your situation, we check whether private health insurance is the right solution or whether staying in statutory health insurance would make more sense. We do not recommend private health insurance across the board. An honest assessment is part of our approach to advice.
The plan comparison across the market includes all relevant insurers. The result is a documented plan proposal with reasons.
One week is typical. In this phase we answer all open questions, with no pressure to sign.
Together we go through the concrete differences in benefits on the shortlist. We explain the small print and make the differences between the plans transparent.
We support you when you answer the health questions. From more than 5,000 submitted applications with health questions, we know the wording and assessment patterns of the providers.
Our advice does not end when you sign the contract. We support existing clients when their life situation changes, with premium adjustments and with plan optimization under § 204 VVG.
Well prepared initial consultations are shorter and lead to more precise results. Depending on your situation, have this information ready.
Private health insurance does not fit every situation. This is why we first check whether a switch makes sense for you at all, and only then which plan could fit.
The current premium is never the only factor. Income, career development, family planning, health and cover in old age count just as much. Reasons against a switch include, for example, an income that is hard to plan in the long term, high premiums in retirement, a late start with a high age at entry or pre-existing conditions with very high risk surcharges. In these cases, staying in statutory health insurance is often the better decision. We clarify individually whether private health insurance makes sense for you.
Our advice is free for you. We are only paid when a contract is signed. Even so, we do not recommend a contract that we are not convinced of professionally. An unsuitable plan helps nobody, and through the five-year cancellation liability we share the risk of a bad recommendation. An honest basis for your decision matters more to us than a quick contract. A well-founded no can also be the result of good advice on private health insurance.
Our market analysis also includes insurers that do not work with independent brokers or only to a limited extent, for example Debeka, HUK-Coburg and Provinzial. We cannot arrange contracts with these companies. We do, however, include their plans in our assessment and show you how they compare with the other offers.
In our experience, these providers are often not among the strongest solutions on the market when you look at premium, policy conditions and long-term quality of benefits together. Even so, you should make your decision based on a complete view of the market, not only on the insurers we work with.
We show you what you should know before switching to private health insurance.
You pay nothing. The first contact is free and without obligation. Even after several conversations without a contract, there are no costs. We are paid only by the insurer and only if a contract is signed.
If you do not hire a broker, you do not pay a broker. The premium with the insurer is identical in both cases, because the commission is already calculated into the plan. If a contract is signed, we receive an acquisition commission from the insurer. The cancellation liability of five years is a structural quality anchor. If we arrange an unsuitable plan and the client switches within five years, we pay back part of the commission. A fee-based advisor with a comparable view of the market typically costs several hundred euros.
An initial consultation usually takes 45 to 90 minutes, depending on how complex your situation is. If you switch without pre-existing conditions after your income exceeds the Jahresarbeitsentgeltgrenze, it can be shorter. For family situations or several pre-existing conditions, you should plan more time.
The quality of the content is identical in both formats. Advice in person in Bielefeld suits complex situations with many documents. The video format is often more practical for clients across Germany and for follow-up meetings, because there is no travel and documents can be shared digitally.
Yes, across Germany. Advice takes place by phone, video call and email. Many clients from other federal states use the video format permanently, because decisions on private health insurance need several rounds of conversation and there is no travel.
Yes. Plan optimization under § 204 VVG is a focus area of our advice. Existing clients whose premiums have risen can have an internal plan change with their current insurer checked, without changing insurer. No new health questions are required for this.
We were founded in 2017 in Bielefeld and advise only on private health insurance, with no side business in life, car or household insurance. Trade media such as AssCompact and DAS INVESTMENT quote Tim Bökemeier as an expert. We hold a broker license under § 34d GewO. The duties of advice are set out in § 59 ff. VVG and § 6 VVG.

From the age of 55, admission to private health insurance is often possible only with restrictions. A late switch can also mean higher premiums.
It matters to us that a switch pays off for you in the long run. That is why we do not recommend a consultation when your answers already show that the conditions are rather unfavorable.
