Why this plan is in our selection
The MB100/G is the Allianz plan for doctors, a single full plan that bundles outpatient, inpatient and dental benefits in one module. It is in our selection because it delivers cleanly where it matters: free choice of doctor without a primary doctor principle, reimbursement also above the maximum rates of the fee schedule and a single or two-bed room in hospital. We rate Allianz's claims handling at 9 out of 10 points as very reliable. You need to know two points before you sign. The plan does not reimburse alternative practitioners, and medicines and dressings carry a deductible of €800 per year. The starting premium is rather high compared with the market. If you accept these points consciously, you get a solid plan with strong claims handling.
01
Reimbursement above the maximum rates
For outpatient, inpatient and dental care, the MB100/G also pays above the maximum rates of the fee schedule. That is where the fees of many specialists and hospital doctors are, so for medical professionals this line is one of the most important differences between plans.
02
Digital health applications included
Health apps approved as medical devices are reimbursed at 100 percent with a prescription, also beyond the statutory directory. In addition, there are Allianz health services, from finding a specialist to digital advice.
03
Advantages for families
Newborns are covered through the KindernachversicherungKindernachversicherungAdding a newborn to a parent's private policy without health questions. The application must reach the insurer within two months of birth.More about Kindernachversicherung →, a companion in hospital is covered for children up to their tenth birthday, and fertility treatment is paid at 100 percent for organic infertility.

Deductible and its effect
⌄
The deductible in the MB100/G is built differently from many other plans. It does not affect all benefits, only medicines and dressings. Everything else is reimbursed without a fixed share of your own.
Medicines and dressings
€800 deductible per calendar year, pro rata per month in the first year
Other benefits
Outpatient, inpatient and dental treatment without a fixed deductible
Children and young people
Same deductible on medicines and dressings
Effect
Your own share hits predictable medicine costs, not the large treatment bills
No-claims refund
⌄
If you submit no bills, you get money back. In the MB100/G the refund is performance-based and staggered, and preventive care does not count against you.
Performance-based refund
1.2 monthly premiums after 1 year, 1.8 after 2 years, 2.4 after 3 claim-free years
Children and young people
4.2 monthly premiums after a claim-free year up to age 21
Guaranteed lump sum
Not included, a one-off €3,000 at care level 3
Prevention protection
Lump sums for preventive checkups do not put the refund at risk
Family, travel and extras
⌄
The points beyond the core benefits often decide how comfortable everyday life is, especially when your life situation changes.
Fertility treatment
100% for organic infertility, with age limits and limits on the number of attempts
Kindernachversicherung
Newborns can be added later, children under 16 receive half the substitute daily allowance
Cover abroad
12 months outside Europe, medically necessary repatriation included
Health cures and rehab
Only follow-up rehabilitation after a hospital stay, other health cures are not reimbursed
Option right
No option for higher-level cover

Who this plan suits
The MB100/G suits doctors who value reliable claims handling and free choice of doctor and can live well with a deductible on medicines and without cover for alternative practitioners. Because it reimburses above the maximum rates, it fits well in an environment where doctors bill privately.
It is less suitable if alternative practitioners are important to you, if the monthly premium is the deciding criterion or if you want an option right for later career steps. For these cases we show you better alternatives from our comparison in our advice.

Who is the MB100/G designed for as a plan for doctors?
⌄
The plan is a full plan for medical professionals that bundles outpatient, inpatient and dental benefits in one module. It suits doctors who value reliable claims handling and billing above the maximum rates of the fee schedule. Whether the plan fits your situation, we clarify in the plan analysis.
Why is there a deductible on medicines?
